DEMONSTRATIONS
1. A 1 to 1 1/2 hour lecture on the history & methods of feltmaking with demonstrations of techniques and a question & answer session.

2. An all day, ongoing demonstration, sampling the techniques and products of feltmaking.
WORKSHOPS
1. The Basics of Feltmaking
Feltmaking is an ancient art form used for both the creation of wearables as well as artistic self expression. Learn about the art of feltmaking and create your own beautiful 2 & 3 dimensional items from wool. We will discuss the history of feltmaking, what factors make a quality felt, choosing the right wool for the project, preparation, combining needle and wet felting, and post production embellishment. This is an in-depth, hands-on, exploration of feltmaking for those with little or no experience, providing the building blocks to take feltmaking in any direction you chose.
This class is available as a 4 hour, 6 hour or 2 day program.
2. Resist Feltmaking - Purse
Seamless 3 dimensional wet feltmaking techniques offer limitless opportunities in the area of wearable art. In this class, we will learn this technique through the creation of a felted purse. Embellishment and finishing techniques will be discussed. 6 hours. Smaller purse option can be completed in 4 hours.
Wet felting experience recommended.
3. Resist Feltmaking - Hat
Seamless 3 dimensional wet feltmaking techniques offer limitless opportunities in the area of wearable art. In this class, we will learn this technique through the creation of a felted hat. Embellishment and finishing techniques will be discussed. 6 hours. Beret option can be completed in 4 hours. Wet felting experience recommended.
4. Felted Web Scarf
Create a beautiful and versatile scarf that can be worn open and airy as an accent or tightly gathered to keep your neck warm. Wet felting experience not required. 3 hours.
5. Bead, Ball, Bowl Workshop
Learn to felt 'In the Round', solid to hollow. Beginners. 3 hours
6. Felting - Open Studio
Been trying your hand at feltmaking? Need someone to look over your shoulder? Or, want to spend an afternoon creating along side other feltmakers? Here is your opportunity to bring half finished projects, mistakes and works of art to share. It’s a time to continue works in progress or start something new. No formal instruction, just tips, clues and helping hands in a space dedicated to the craft.
